LCMS - Cortisol & Cortisone in Urine Dilute and Shoot

Cortisol & Cortisone Urine LC-MS D&S reagens kit

SKU: 1180 KIT M CODS

The Cortisol & Cortisone reagents set from diagnotix • •• can determine the concentrations of both cortisol and cortisone in urine or saliva.

Advantages of the Diagnotix Cortisol & Cortisone Urine LC-MS D&S method:

  • 6-point calibrator based on Human urine like matrix
  • Internal standard with deuterium labeled cortisol and cortisone
  • Our extremely simple sample preparation process helps you save both time and costs, making your workflow more efficient and cost-effective
  • Easy to automate

Intended use

The Diagnotix Cortisol & Cortisone LC-MS D&S Kit is specifically designed to measure cortisol and cortisone concentrations in patient samples, providing a reliable foundation for further diagnostic evaluations.

Technical benefits

  1. Simplified sample preparation: A simple dilution is enough for fast and reliable analyses.
  2. Savings: Saving preparation time and eliminate the need of expensive SPE-tubes and workflow.

Especially interesting for:

  • Laboratories processing relatively small sample volumes on a biweekly or monthly basis.
  • Laboratories with sufficient LC-MS knowledge that understands the importance of optimized and frequent LC-MS cleanup schedules.
  • Facilities operating multiple LC-MS systems, allowing for dedicated systems for specific methodologies.

Included in kit (300 assays):

  • 1042 CAL M CORT, Calibrator Set (Calibrator 1 – 6), 6 x 2 x 1 ml
  • 1049 M CORT, Internal Standard, 3 x 6 ml
  • 1190 M CODS, Dilution Solution 3 x 100 ml
  • 1191 M CODS, Mobile Phase I, 1 x 500 ml

Clinical relevance

The ratio between cortisol and cortisone is of clinical importance with the diagnosis of Cushing syndrome. This even indicates apparent mineralocorticoid excess, a disease where the 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase-activity is weakened significantly or is even absent.
